Software development at HubSpot isn't about process. It's about customers, culture, and code. If that sounds like something you're passionate about, we'd love to get to know you.
See open positions in Product, UX, & EngineeringWe're passionate about creating a culture where every engineer, designer, product manager, and UX researcher have real impact. These are the beliefs we live and work by.
We work in small, autonomous teams (around 5 people). That way, you own product decisions and can move faster to solve for the customer.
We constantly ask ourselves: Is this creating value for our users? Having empathy and understanding the customer's perspective is everyone's job.
We live by the saying ship fast, learn faster. We'll never get everything right on the first try, but we learn from our experiences and grow better every day.
We make serious investments in developer productivity. We have teams dedicated to reliability, tooling, and reusable components on both the front- and back-end.
From weekly tech talks to 1:1 mentoring, we're constantly helping each other become the best product people (and humans) we can be.
We aren't just product people. We're musicians. We're parents. We're rock climbers. We're building a team made of different perspectives and experiences — that's how we'll create a product that's reflective of our diverse customer base around the world.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I really like karaoke. A lot more than I should given that I am not a good singer.
What team within Product are you on, and what does the team work on?
I work on the SEO team, which is part of the Content Product Group. We build tools to help customers get found on search. This includes things like: a site audit tool which scans a customer's website and gives recommendations for how to improve SEO; an in-editor optimization tool, to help people optimize their content as they write; a Google Search Console integration to give people visibility into the effectiveness of their SEO efforts; a tool to help organize and link content together around topics in a way that boosts authority and helps SEO; and several others (and a lot more to come!)

What's something you've worked on at HubSpot that you're proud of?
We've worked to make more and more of the HubSpot platform freemium, meaning more businesses have gotten to see value from our software with no up front commitment and it's been amazing to watch this fuel both our customers' growth as well as HubSpot's own growth.

When people ask you what it's like to work on HubSpot's Product team, how do you describe it?
It's extremely rewarding. My favorite thing about HubSpot is how in tune our product team is with our customers. If we ship something that our customers love we hear about it immediately which is always really encouraging for our team. Equally, if we ship something our customers dislike we get feedback quickly and can iterate on it immediately so we're constantly improving our product based on customer feedback. Our customers are highly engaged so they're always more than willing to give us feedback on what they like/dislike and why.
