We invest in our culture like we invest in our products (don't believe us? Check out our Culture Code). We're passionate about creating a modern workplace where employees can build work around their lives, and not the other way around. Whether you want to work @remote, @office, @flex, our Singapore office runs on transparency, autonomy, flexibility, and most importantly, amazing people who are passionate about doing their best work with us.
HubSpot is growing. Fast. That means there’s always an opportunity to learn and grow. But don’t worry, you’re not alone; we’re committed to helping employees develop their careers. Employees get comprehensive onboarding, ongoing development workshops, tuition reimbursement, skills training, and more. You'll also be on the frontline of making a lasting impact on our product and 170k and growing customers!
Different perspectives make us a better company. We work hard to build an inclusive environment where you feel you belong - because you do! From our Employee Resource Groups: People of Color at HubSpot (POCaH), LGBTQ+ Alliance, BLACKHub, Families@HubSpot, and Women@HubSpot, to over 1000 diverse and thriving communities, there's truly a place for everyone to come as they are.
HubSpotters often say the number one reason they like working at HubSpot is how much they learn from the people they're surrounded by. HubSpot is bustling with people at the top of their game - the opportunities to learn, grow, collaborate, and build are endless.
Whether we’re going out for ice cream on the first day of summer, having pizza on a Thursday, or dialing into virtual mix and mingles, there’s always a reason to enjoy time with your colleagues worldwide. We organize a variety of in-person and virtual events so you never feel too far from meaningful connections with fellow HubSpotters whether cheersing virtually with your drink of choice or aah-ing after work at our office. There's never a shortage of Instagrammable moments.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I was a lifeguard in the US in 2007. I saved a kid in a waterpark!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I’m on the Customer Onboarding team and we get to work with new HubSpot customers as soon as they come onboard. As trusted advisors to our customers, we deliver enterprise value and world class customer experience to help customers achieve their business objectives. As a manager of the team, I spend most of my time thinking about ways to help my people grow better.
What's one thing you love about the Singapore office?
The diversity. We have employees from 20 or so nationalities with different perspectives, views and opinions.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
Transparency is huge in HubSpot. It allows me to have open communications with my team, peers and manager. I can worry less about office politics and focus solely on our customers.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I can eat a whole cake by myself, although I probably should not!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I am part of the APAC Marketing team. My primary responsibilities revolve around brand awareness and integrated campaigns that have an impact on both awareness and demand metrics. A typical day varies depending on the time of the year but what I love about being a regional Marketeer is the solid balance of strategy and execution work. Additionally, we are big fans of experimenting and leveraging the learnings from these experiments to shape the strategy for the region.
What's one thing you love about working for HubSpot in Singapore?
The Singapore team feels like one big family. And just like family, everyone is accepted for who they are and everyone helps one another as much as they can. Regardless of which team you are in or how senior/junior you are, you can reach out to anyone for help or for a casual coffee chat and you are sure to receive a warm response! I know I did :)
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
I am a @flex employee and I love the fact that I can design my work day around my life. Most days I work from home and manage to squeeze in yoga sessions, cooking, reading, evening walks, etc alongside work. The days I choose to go to the office are reserved for connecting with other HubSpotters over coffee, lunch, or via events hosted by our awesome culture team. A lot of companies wave the flag of flexibility but when you dig deeper, you realize that the kind of restrictions they put on their employees clearly indicate a lack of trust between employers and employees. In this regard, HubSpot sure is a rare breed!
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I used to run a small business before joining HubSpot selling Singaporean local snacks!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I am on the SEA Business Development team here in Singapore. My average day looks like this:
- Researching and looking out for companies that might benefit from HubSpot's Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service tools. What's one thing you love about working for HubSpot in Singapore?
I cannot answer this with only one thing because there are so many things that make me love HubSpot!
- Autonomy to do my work - my team, bosses, and colleagues give me full autonomy to decide how I carry out my day-to-day task without micromanaging me in any way. I'm given the freedom to work from home/office and I'm not pressured to work during specific hours nor am I expected to work more than the usual 9 to 5. Why do I love this > I feel empowered to own what I do and how I do things. It makes me feel more accountable to our team goals as I know how my efforts directly impact our team's performance. How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
I referenced this above, but autonomy and acceptance specifically. I'm a @flex worker but honestly, it doesn't matter. Because whether I'm working from home or from the office, I do not feel pressured to "prove that I'm working" or "pretend to look productive" because my bosses and teams trust me. It's this autonomy that makes me feel more empowered to do my work. I feel like I owe it to myself and the team to give my best when they do not make work feel unpleasant and distasteful.
