HubSpotters often say the number one reason they like working at HubSpot is how much they learn from the people they're surrounded by. HubSpot is bustling with people at the top of their game - the opportunities to learn, grow, collaborate, and build are endless.
Whether we’re indulging in ice cream on the first day of summer, having pizza on a Thursday, or dialing into virtual mix and mingles, there’s always a reason to enjoy time with your colleagues worldwide. We organize a variety of in-person and virtual events so you never feel too far from meaningful connections with fellow HubSpotters. There's never a shortage of Instagrammable moments.
What work option did you choose and why?
I chose @flex because I have the option of both. While I'm a huge fan of working from home, nothing beats those impromptu in-person interactions and casual chats at the office. I've forged numerous valuable connections that have not only added value to my work but have also introduced me to a beautiful circle of new friends!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm on the Customer Proof team. I spearhead our Lighthouse Program, amplifying the remarkable success stories of our buzziest brands to broader and more influential audiences. Every day is a new adventure, and I absolutely thrive on that. My role involves a lot of collaboration across various teams and regions to get our customers' success stories into as many channels and initiatives as possible, so I'm constantly building new connections and keeping the existing ones strong. Plus, I am constantly engaging with customers on a variety of opportunities, which is my favorite part of the job!
What's one thing you love about the office?
The one thing I love about the Toronto office is the people.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
Everybody is always ready to lend a hand. It's a highly collaborative environment which makes working on any project and/or initiative an absolute joy.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I've trekked as high as the peak of Kilimanjaro and scuba dived as deep as the Blue Hole in Sinai.
What work option did you choose and why?
I chose @remote because I'm more productive and creative at home, without a regular commute.
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm a Content Designer in the Prospecting Product Group. I work with a core team, made up of a product manager, product designer, and tech leads. At HubSpot, Content Designers are set up to work across the entire product process. My role focuses on content strategy, information architecture, and UX writing. A typical day for me includes meetings, like a customer interview, design critique, or team sync. Then I'll usually set aside focus time to work on things like analyzing customer feedback, UX writing, or design strategy.
What's one thing you love about the office?
I love that the Toronto office hosts monthly lunches and other social events. I usually make it in to the office once or twice a quarter. It's fun to hang out with my co-workers in person and meet new HubSpotters.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
It's true that HubSpot's culture attracts some amazing, growth-minded people. Everyone I work with motivates me to learn, grow and do my best work every single day.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I’ve travelled solo with just a backpack on four continents.
What work option did you choose and why?
I chose @flex because I have a dog at home but I also enjoy the social aspect of the office. Some of the best friends I made were from hanging out at HubSpot!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I lead a sales team of 7 sales reps and I'm a leader on the Women at HubSpot council. We are growing in Canada so it's like working at a startup inside a big company. On an average week, I jump between coaching sales reps to sell HubSpot by reviewing their pipelines, reviewing their ongoing calls and prospecting emails, sitting in calls with prospects and customers, looking at reports to strategize and forecast the business, meeting internal stakeholders to discuss ways to grow the business, organizing DI&B and culture events, and interviewing for top talent. I get a lot of joy from seeing sales reps become successful and making an impact. I've been at HubSpot for almost 6 years and it's the people that make this an amazing place to work.
What's one thing you love about the office?
The Toronto office is still in its growth phase and the people at the tiny office have made it a warm community.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
1. Our culture code and North Star help give a framework for us to do our best work. The ones I love are UGJ - Using Good Judgement and SFTC - Solving For The Customer are in the fabric of the decisions we make and fosters psychological safety.
2. Teams are super agile in taking feedback and coming up with a solution. You can slack ANYONE in this organization and reach out to anyone for help.
3. I feel like I can bring my authentic self to work every day. I don't have to pretend to be anyone and it allows me to do my best work.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I went blind hiking to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro and I love scuba diving with sharks. I started at the HubSpot Singapore office.
